"Being a Christian is not about being saved, that is just the beginning. The purpose of Christianity is that we may know Christ. My passion and goal in this life is to know God more each and every day. My prayer is that by the time my life on this earth is over that I would be more in love with Jesus then, then when I began.
Everything in this life is meaningless if it is done without Christ. All that I do is meaningless unless what I do draws me closer to Him. What we do for God is not as important as our relationship with God. Many people do things for God, but forget to do life with Him. What God wants more than anything else is not our hands, but our hearts. He is not a God of rules and regulations, but He is a God of spirit and truth. We must worship Him with our hearts, not our forms or traditions. When we truly seek Him, then God is able to mold us, shape us and make us more like His Son.
Jesus is the perfect picture of how we are to live our lives on this earth. He is the fullness of God in the form of man. Jesus was not concerned about the demands of the world put upon Him, He was most concerned about doing His Father’s will by daily walking with Him in the power of the Spirit.
Let us surrender our hearts this day to draw near to God’s heart and letting Him direct our steps and sanctify our lives."
