what doesn't kill you makes you (stronger)

Just saw her on SNL tonight and can I just say it's refreshing to watch a woman sing who isn't caught up by all the fame and the hype and still had that glow in her eyes as if it was one of her first performances and she was having the time of her life, AND actually wearing real clothes, not coming out half-naked, and who isn't a toothpick but strong and confident in her body just the way she is, A-MEN!

Prayers, Footprints and Markers of Faith for 2011, 2012

---THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD---
---THE LORD REMEMBERS US AND WILL BLESS US---
::
The Lord is crazy and ridiculous and amazing all at the same time and up to crazy things... in our lives and the lives of several among us and the crazy things the Lord is up to with them as well. Wow. January has been an entirely different beast and taken twists and turns on a journey that continues to unfold.
After a series of events and encounters with God in His word, I declared 2011 a year of living by faith a few weeks ago. It was the only way my heart could make sense of proceeding forward.
I literally could not see even a few inches in front of me and the only comfort to relieve the anxiety was realizing I was being called to live by faith in a way I new would continue to stretch me yet bring me into a deeper and greater reliance on my Lord and Savior. Where I would trade my eyes for new sight. And wow, what a wild ride this year has been already.
I do not even know how to put it into words as this journey of faith continues in an entirely different landscape and new terrain... He has given me new strength and eyes of faith to see Him in ways I've never seen Him before...
Giving me the grace and the strength to cling to and fully claim the power and truth of His promises that yes, Lord, you will remember us and you will bless us, yes, your people will live by faith... so we may see your glory and the power of what only You can do.
And I stand amazed. By You.
Yes, show us your glory, Lord. Show us your ways , guide me in truth, for you alone are God, my Savior. My hope is You.
::
Psalm 25, the cry of my heart for 2011:
In you, LORD my God,
I place my trust.
I trust in you;
do not let me be put to shame,
nor let my enemies triumph over me.
No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame...
Show me your ways, LORD,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
Psalm 25:1-5
psalm 115:12a:
The LORD remembers us and will bless us.

psalm 115:9-12a:
House of Israel, trust in the Lord-
he is their help and shield.
House of Aaron, trust in the Lord-
he is their help and shield.
You who fear him, trust in the Lord-
he is their help and shield.

The LORD remembers us and will bless us.

Lord, show us your glory...
psalm 115:12b, 15:
He will bless the house of Israel,
he will bless the house of Aaron,
he will bless those who fear the LORD—small and great alike.

May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

hebrews 10:37-38:
“In just a little while,
he who is coming will come
and will not delay.”
But my righteous will live by faith.

hebrews 11:1:
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for

and certain of what we do not see.

psalm 25:6a, 7b, 16:
Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love...
according to your love remember me, for you, LORD, are good...
Turn to me and be gracious to me...
hebrews 11:27b:
But, he persevered because he saw him who was invisible...
FAITH IN WHAT WE DON'T SEE
hebrews 11:1-2 (The Message):
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see.

john 11:40
Did I not tell you that if you only believed, you would see the glory of God?
Lord, I have tasted and I have seen Your glory.
Continue to show me your ways Lord and guide me in your truth,
for you alone are God, my Maker, my Lover, my Father, my Savior;
You alone are God,
You alone are good.
Show us Your glory and be glorified.
psalm 119:49-50:
Remember your word to your servant,
in which you have made me hope.
This is my comfort in my affliction,
that your promise gives me life.

To You be the honor and the glory forever and ever, Amen!

behold, i am making all things new.

WE WAIT IN HOPE FOR THE LORD;
he is our help and our shield.

IN HIM OUR HEARTS REJOICE,
for we trust in his holy name.

MAY YOUR UNFAILING LOVE BE WITH US, LORD,
even as we put our hope in you.

:: psalm 33:20-22

for he who has promised is faithful.
